This Saturday - December 1st, Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30 KO) returns to Madison Square Garden to challenge Austin Trout (25-0, 14 KO) for his WBA Junior Middleweight Title. Many are predicting an easy win for Cotto, and considering his experience and the level of competition he's faced (compared to Trout), it's a pretty logical pick. His resume speaks for itself. Having said that, I think this is still a dangerous match-up for Miguel. And that's just his style. He's not one for going the easy route. Austin Trout is a live underdog. He's younger, faster, and has a real height/reach advantage. He moves pretty well and can box, so I wouldn't call it a cakewalk for Miguel. This is an incredible opportunity for Trout and I'm glad he got it because I do like him. A loss here wouldn't be a devastating thing for his career, but a win for Cotto would set the stage for a Canelo Alvarez match-up. And that is something I really want to see. Also on the card: Jayson Velez vs. Salvador Sanchez II, Featherweights, 10 rounds Danny Jacobs vs. Chris Fitzpatrick, Middleweights, 10 rounds
